(AGI) - Rome, Italy, Sep. 8 - The first batch of Italian Red Cross personnel that will be deployed under Carabinieri protection in the Dhi-Qar province, reached the Tallil airport today onboard an Italian Air Force C130J.
The military contingent and Italian Red Cross paramedics fall under operation Ancient Babylon in Iraq.

I cannot help but wonder how many Christians around the globe are closely watching the developments in Iraq with their Bibles open to The Revelation. It also seems odd to me that we (America) are quite possibly going to be a party to the initial ground laying for the prophesied rebuilding of Ancient Babylon by the Antichrist. I absolutely believe the claim of our President (G.W.B), that he is a born-again follower of Jesus Christ, and I wonder what he thinks about his/our part in ushering in the "rebuilding" of the land where our ultimate enemy will no doubt soon rebuild Babylon as his glorious Capital from which to rule over the entire world.
When taking the "big picture" view of the Scriptures, seeing how God's hand has molded the history of the world and its nations and the leaders of those nations, today's news is really interesting stuff. Especially when you consider the Bible's 100% accuracy in all the prophecies that have so far been fulfilled. It's also interesting to watch the entire world order falling into place today exactly the way God's Word has told us for thousands of year that it would be in The Day of our Lord Jesus Christ, when He comes back to put an end to the evil ways of the willful and disobedient who shun Him to the very end.
In all honesty, I'll have to admit that I am not entirely convinced (yet) of either side of the current teachings on the pre-tribulation or post-tribulation extraction of the true Church. But I do know that we who belong to Him will be taken at some point during the "end timeline". Since the days when Jesus walked physically among his earthly followers there has not been a more exciting time to be alive on planet earth.
For those who are fellow believers, remember Luke 21:28!
"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
For the rest, who have not yet made Jesus their hope of salvation, it is not yet too late to heed the call of Isaiah 55:6-7...
"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."

P.S. - Whether the end of the world comes in our lifetimes or not, you can rest assured your end of times will come regardless! Better make
plans!! ;-)
