On
Friday morning the water was out at the house in DARBCI. I don't know
exactly how that happens, but just like the electricity, the water
occasionally goes out at the housing edition where Jennifer's mom lives
now.
Anyway,
Jennifer decided we needed to go to a pension house in town to get a
shower (and to rest in an air conditioned room for a while, hehehe). Here I
am waiting for the room to be cleaned. |

From the walkway in front of our room you could see that we were in a
great neighborhood. There's a sari-sari store across the street... |

|

And looking to the right from the front door there was Focus Security
and Detective Services.
Food and security! What more could you ask for in the Philippines?! |

On Friday night we attended nanay's regularly scheduled Bible Study at
the squatter area behind the DARBCI housing edition.
Nanay, Jennifer's mom, still has a nipa hut there herself, though she
doesn't stay there anymore since moving to a house nearby. |

This bamboo meeting hut was built just for the purpose of holding a Bible
Study meeting once a week. I'd be tickled to see a group of Americans
show up somewhere in the boondocks in Florida or Texas after being
invited to a Bible Study, only to find that they were meeting in a hut
just like this one. What fun! |

|

The little ones are ready for the treats...
I guess we had better get this study
started! |
