On Thursday we all loaded up again for a trip to Astorga to visit Jennifer's grandmother. This time Rick and nanay will be going with us, too!

Everyone was sitting back and taking it easy in the air-con when, just like that, we came up on a parade in the middle of the highway!

It seems all the little troopers in one of the small towns on the way were showing off their colors that day and we were just in time to see them.

The first thing you noticed was all the little kids marching up to the gentleman who was standing in the middle of the street and then turning back to head into town.

The second thing you noticed was that the gentleman was armed with a pistol grip shotgun! Hehe... this is not unusual anywhere in the Philippines, but it still gets your attention.

All these pictures were taken as we were allowed to travel past the parade along the shoulder of the road.

Some of these kids loved the camera, but others weren't to sure if they wanted their pictures taken by a Kano in a passing van, hehehe.
