And sure enough, all that stuff DID fit inside of four Balikbayan boxes. And soon we were on our way to the Philippines!

We spent the four hours prior to our initial departure from Fort Lauderdale International Airport doing what you always do while waiting for your flight...

...we took some silly pictures of each other just sitting around, hehehe.

And then we were on the plane and ready to go!

Ummm... no... I mean we were on the plane alright, but we were definitely NOT ready to go. Repairs were underway in the cockpit and we were told - for an hour and a half - that we would be leaving soon. That is, right up until they told us we wouldn't!

We were originally scheduled to fly through Dallas/Fort Worth and on to San Francisco. No problem though. They found another flight direct to Los Angeles which would make it there in time for us to catch the only alternate Philippine Airlines flight to Manila that night out of LAX. After all of this excitement, we didn't take any more pictures until Manila, about 33 hours after we had left home to begin our journey!
