Another road trip; this one to a place they call The Habitat. On the
way out of town we drove through Freedom Park, where I saw these two
fellows carrying furniture down the road. I asked what that was all
about, and was told that they had built the furniture and sold it, so it
was their responsibility to also deliver it... the best way they could.
They don't own a delivery truck. |

One of the
earliest discoveries I found in the internet with regard to General Santos
City was a picture of the statue of General Paulino Santos in the city
park. I had told Jennifer many times that I wanted to be sure we got
a picture of the two of us there. This was taken in the afternoon on
Independence Day! |

And while we
were having our picture made, these demonstrators were holding their
gathering right in front of us. If you look, you can barely see the
statue in the left hand edge of this picture. |

As we were
driving away, I took this picture looking back at the demonstrators.
This must be one of the main streets in town. It's very wide
compared to many others there. |

Oh yeah,
remember I told you about that tricycle you could use to haul your young 'uns.
Well, there you go! That fellow has about five or six little ones on
there. |
