I absolutely loved watching all the people and traffic coming and going in
the streets during the parade. You won't see anything like this in
Pompano Beach, I'll tell you. The little tricycle you see up front
there is used to haul livestock.... or kiddos, whichever you happen to
have! |

Generally
speaking, the only place you will see buses is on the highways. But
in town the Jeepneys run routes just like the city buses do in the States.
You can tell where each Jeepney will take you by reading the route painted
on it's side. No help to me, of course. Where is Lagao anyway?
Hehehe |

It appears that,
for these little guys, I was the highlight of the parade that day.
Or maybe they just had a wager on the actual length of my nose?? |

The entire time I was standing atop the
Jeepney, taking pictures of the
parade, there was a group of guys behind me playing basketball. By
the way, for those who don't know it, basketball is the national sport in
the Philippines. I saw games being played almost everywhere we went
for the duration of my visit! |
