  Trip to Nadies

Now we were actually headed cross country to a place called Nadies, where we were going to have lunch.  But the sight of marang in the little roadside fruit stand set off a chatter.  And soon, some from our group were checking out the goods.

And just as soon, Jennifer had made her selection and presented it to me.  Of course I had no idea what that thing was, so I just sat and nodded my head to let her know that I was SURE that was the perfect choice among those.... whatevers.

Next my sweetheart was demonstrating the proper method of getting started on one of those things...

And assuring me with her smile that this was NOT durian we had here!

So, you just bury your face in the marang...

and then spit the little seed into the peel..  Okay, I got it... let's give this thing a try!!

Mmmmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmm.  Save those seeds, baby.  I think this thing will grow in Florida, too!!!
