On Monday, June 10, 2002, we left the house for some more roaming around
the countryside. I snapped this picture of the three most common
means of motorized transportation in the city; a Jeepney, a multi-cab, and
a tricycle.
These drivers
work very hard, driving their routes all day and sometimes into the night.
And still they might not earn more than 16 to 18 dollars a day for their
labors.
Many families actually own a Jeepney as their family vehicle.
Imagine the surprised look you might see on the face of that Hummer owner
if you pulled up next to him at an intersection here in the States in a
brand spanking new Stainless Steel Jeepney!!!
