And then I watched as they acted out the brutality with which He was brought to His death, seeing Scriptures brought to life before my very own eyes and realizing all the more just how amazing this whole story truly is when you have dug deep to understand exactly how much had to be done - from the beginning of creation to the day He gave His life - in order for any of us to have any chance at all for eternal redemption from our just punishment.
We watched as they pounded the nails, and it was at this point that I realized I had also begun to cry. I have read the story more times that I could count. And yes, this was only a play. But standing there on that day I felt the magnitude of the story I love to tell anyone who will listen...
