This flag platform is on the hangar deck of the USS Yorktown CV-10...

"The Fighting Lady".
 

We began our tour at the Snack Bar... of course! Afterward we checked out the Apollo 8 exhibit. This carrier was the one used to recover the Apollo 8 crew after the first manned mission to orbit the moon in 1968.
