Since we now had "air-con" in the family vehicle, something that had been sorely
lacking in both the Mazda and the Chevy S-10 that we drove home from Texas after
going to my dad's funeral in 2003, we also took another little trip up the road
to visit the drive-thru Lion Country Safari. |

And now you understand that somewhat pensive look on Jennifer's face in the
last picture. She was amazed that we were driving right through the middle of
real lions, and they were not locked up in cages! |

Thankfully, they all looked like they were very well fed, and probably not too
hungry for a "people snack" just then. |

This old man was lying off to the side, next to a fence that surrounded the
lions' area. I'm guessing that the lazy fella was probably just hanging out at
the gate where the next load of meat would soon be hauled in. |
