Let The Fun Begin!!

For as long as I have known Jennifer, she has always been one to get really excited when she receives a gift. And it doesn't matter what it is, either, so long as it is for her, hehe. Well now she has a little one on the way, and we have received our first gift from the "Target Baby Registry"... a papasan for Yaleana Jenell. Had you been here when she found it outside our door, you would have sworn that Publisher's Clearinghouse must have been outside with a 3' by 8' check with Jennifer's name on it!!

Jennifer "lands" beside my desk with the new gift in hand

She rips the receipt off to find out who sent us our first gift from the registry ...
Thank you Shelley!!

With my admonition, she "carefully" removes the contents from the box.

Suddenly this is starting to look more like a job than a gift!

Hmmm... instructions...
Poppi... It's your turn!!!

And a mere five minutes or so later, voilá, Yaleana's new papasan is ready for her arrival... (and I am looking forward to future Christmas adventures with some trepidation, hehehe.)

With the inspiration of the papasan delivery still fresh on her mind, Jennifer informed me it was time to go to Babies "R" Us and Target to pick up a few things. She had gotten a $25 gift card for each store at a baby shower her friend Genny had given her, so now they were burning a hole in her pocket and off we went.

About four hours and a little under $200 later, we arrived home with the day's booty...

On the couch behind Jennifer is our very first Pampers pickup... TWENTY-SIX BUCKS!!! Whew... do they still make cloth diapers?!

Jennifer took the time to carefully examine every single item we brought home. Thankfully there were no more items with "some assembly required."

Okay, everything has passed inspection and no returns are necessary...

... and all we need now is for Yaleana to make her debut!!

Just before Jennifer left for her baby shower at Genny's, I took this picture of her in our kitchen. She looks amazing, huh? Who'd believe she is eight months pregnant?!
Of course, I'm not going to show you the pajama picture I took while she was sitting on the edge of the bed yesterday!

And now I have to get on to my next little project. The apartment is all cleaned out and ready for Yaleana to take over now. But before she gets here, I have to find some way to get all those wires up above the glass at my desk in the bedroom. I know it's going to be awhile before she's crawling under there, but we've been on a bit of a roll lately... so I'm going to get this done before those contractions even get started.

Talk to you again soon!
