Ultrasound Day!!
Finally the day had arrived. Jennifer hadn't slept for most of the three days leading up to ultrasound day,
so she was an absolute joy to be with that morning when, after living for over a month with the anticipation
of the actual ultrasound event, we realized toward the end of our 8:00 AM appointment on this day that there
had been some sort of a mix up. After all the usual questions, "How are you feeling" and "Any
questions you want to ask us?", followed by checking the baby's heart rate (135), they were just about
to send us home with another appointment scheduled in 4 weeks.
"Ahem" I said in my most sincere and understated tone. "Weren't we supposed to have an ultrasound
today?" To which the Nurse Practitioner replied, "Oh, you haven't had that yet? Well I can write you
a prescription..." And she began to scribble something on her pad for me. Now it's a very good thing the NP
was looking at her little script pad for this particular space of time, because Jennifer's glare might well have
wilted her cheerful demeanor for the rest of her otherwise happy day!
After rescheduling for that afternoon at 3:15, we headed home to wait for our next appointment. And during the
short trip from the doctor's office to our apartment, everyone in that office got fired, was pronounced incapable
of handling their jobs, and was summarily put in their place by the feisty pinay from General Santos City, Mindanao,
Philippines!!!
Thankfully, after a full blown (but totally silent) flaring of the tempers on both sides... followed by a
three hour sojourn for me at my office in Boca Raton where I had to attend a staff meeting, I came home to find
my beloved had returned to her normal lovable nature. She was even ready for her rescheduled appointment with the
once again employed medical staff at our previously fired doctor's office, hehe. And the rest of our day went just
as we had hoped. So now, without any further fanfare, let us just first say...
"Baby Gaylor" Is
A Baby Girl !!!
Of course the happy papa has a picture of his little princess to show you, and mama and papa have both already
scoured the baby names lists as well. So the only thing left for us to do now is to introduce our little darling.
May I proudly present...

hehehe.
Ah well, if you will excuse me now, I have to go talk to Yaleana Jenell for awhile before I head for bed.
